Enclosed spaces of the vessel


Closed spaces are all spaces enclosed by the ship's hull, permanent or removable partitions or bulkheads, decks or coverings, excluding permanent or portable tents (canopies). Deck breaks, openings in the ship's hull, deck or covering of any space in the bulkheads or partitions of a space, as well as absence of a partition or bulkhead should not serve as grounds for excluding a space from being classified as a closed space
