Legal Work in the Russian Armed Forces
1. Legal work is a set of measures carried out by military management bodies, commanders (chiefs), legal service units, and educational work organs, aimed at implementing the requirements of normative legal acts of the Russian Federation, general service regulations, normative legal acts of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, compliance with generally recognized principles and norms of international law and international agreements of the Russian Federation, in order to successfully accomplish combat training tasks, improve the combat and mobilization readiness of army and fleet forces, strengthen law and order, military and labor discipline, and protect the rights and legitimate interests of central military management bodies, formations, units, and organizations of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as military units), as well as military personnel and civilian staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in matters related to their service activities
