Drowning


Drowning is understood as a pathological condition of the body based on mechanical asphyxiation occurring due to water entering the respiratory tract or reflex laryngospasm and associated acute disruption of gas exchange in the lungs. In diving practice, drowning may occur during descents underwater using any type of diving equipment
