Geriatric Psychiatry Center


Gerontopsychiatric center - a social-medical institution intended for permanent, temporary (up to six months) and five-day-a-week accommodation of elderly citizens (men over 60 years old and women over 55 years old), including disabled individuals suffering from chronic mental illnesses who require constant care from others. It ensures the creation of living conditions appropriate to their age and health status, conducts medical, psychological, and social activities, provides nutrition and care, organizes suitable labor activities, rest, and leisure, carries out scientific-practical work in psychiatry for older age groups, and conducts training for staff of psychoneurological homes
