Sopoch muds
Mud volcanoes - clayey effluents of mud volcanoes are locally distributed in Russia, mainly on the Taman Peninsula, and differ from other groups of muds by specific organic matter (of petroleum origin) and the presence of recognized therapeutic active components - iodine and bromine. The main deposits of mud volcano muds are concentrated in Azerbaijan, fewer in Georgia, where a single resort in the former Soviet Union - Akhtala - operates based on mud volcano muds. In Russia, mud volcano muds are used in limited quantities (as an additional therapeutic factor) in Anapa (Azov Mud Volcano). Here, the South Korean company "Seven-Y" packages small batches of mud volcano muds (Shugo Mud Volcano) for export to South Korea and for sale on the domestic Russian market.
