Modification of the Weapon Model

2.4.3. Modification of the weapon model - a variety of the model characterized by any changes made to the original set and arrangement of main parts (mechanisms) of the weapon model, including changing the caliber, fundamentally not altering the design, but affecting strength, operational safety, and compliance of the weapon model with criminological requirements.

A modification of the weapon model has a distinctive index (a letter or number) or indicates the caliber. The location for applying the distinctive index or the caliber of the modification is determined in the design documentation. Testing of the modification during its certification is carried out within the scope established for the certification of the weapon model.
