Fireplace

A fireplace is a type of heating appliance distinguished by a larger (compared to stoves) burning aperture (for open fires), absence of flue ducts and presence of a flue chamber. Heating with a fireplace is based on thermal radiation from burning solid fuel and heated walls of the firebox area, as well as convective heat transfer from the surfaces of the fireplace into the heated room. There are two types of fireplaces: those constructed on-site and prefabricated. Prefabricated fireplaces are assembled from factory-made components
