Russian bat
Russian lapta is a two-sided team sport played both outdoors and in indoor facilities on a rectangular court bounded by side and end lines. The objective of one team is to complete as many runs as possible within the allocated playing time after hitting the ball with the bat, where each player who completes a full run earns points for their team. The objective of the other team is to prevent opponents from making runs by catching the ball and collecting more "candles," and if they successfully tag a runner, the team gains the right to hit and make runs, unless there is a counter-tag (a retaliatory tag).
