Music Center

Music centers are stationary audio equipment, constructed either as separate audio components or as a combined unit in a single casing (monoblock) forming an integrated audio system.

In the least expensive music centers, typically a common power supply block is used for the entire system, a shared microprocessor control system with remote control functionality, and a single multifunctional display. This allows the system to be simplified and made more affordable by eliminating duplicate devices and modules that are necessarily present in separate audio equipment. The components of a music center are coordinated with each other in terms of electrical parameters and sound characteristics. In more expensive music centers, typically several multifunctional LCD displays are used. Depending on their size, music centers are conditionally divided into three types: micro-, mini- and midi-systems.
