Persons Entitled to Inheritance

1. Citizens who are alive on the day of opening the inheritance, as well as those conceived during the lifetime of the testator and born alive after the opening of the inheritance may be called upon to inherit.

Legal entities existing on the day of opening the inheritance may also be called upon to inherit under a will.

2. Under a will, the Russian Federation, subjects of the Russian Federation, municipal formations, foreign states and international organizations may be called upon to inherit; under the law, the Russian Federation, subjects of the Russian Federation, and municipal formations may inherit in accordance with Article 1151 of this Code.
