3.4. All oil depots, depending on total capacity and maximum volume of a single tank, are divided into the following categories:

Category I - with a capacity exceeding 100,000 cubic meters;

Category II - with a capacity exceeding 20,000 cubic meters up to 100,000 cubic meters;

Subcategory IIIa - with a capacity exceeding 10,000 cubic meters up to 20,000 cubic meters, with the maximum volume of a single tank up to 5,000 cubic meters inclusive;

Subcategory IIIb - with a capacity exceeding 2,000 cubic meters up to 10,000 cubic meters, with the maximum volume of a single tank up to 2,000 cubic meters inclusive;

Subcategory IIIc - with a capacity up to 2,000 cubic meters inclusive, with the maximum volume of a single tank up to 700 cubic meters inclusive.

The total capacity of an oil depot is determined as the sum of the volumes of stored petroleum products in tanks and containers. The volume of tanks and containers is taken according to their nominal volume. When determining the total capacity of an oil depot, it is permissible not to take into account the volumes of the following technological tanks:

- intermediate tanks (receiving and discharge vessels) at loading/unloading gantries and single loading/unloading units;

- consumption tanks of boiler houses, diesel power stations and fuel filling points, but not more than 100 cubic meters;

- tanks for collecting oil product leaks and emergency tanks;

- tanks at used oil product collection points with a total capacity not exceeding 100 cubic meters (outside the tank park);

- tanks for collected oil products at treatment facilities of production or production-rainwater sewage;
