Continuous education
Lifelong learning is the process of increasing an individual's educational (general and professional) potential throughout their life, based on the use of state and public institutions and in accordance with the needs of the individual and society. The necessity of lifelong learning is determined by the progress of science and technology, as well as the widespread application of innovative technologies. According to some estimates, the annual growth rate of new knowledge is 4 - 6 percent. This means that about 50 percent of professional knowledge must be obtained by specialists after completing their education. The amount of time required for updating professional knowledge for specialists with higher education amounts to 28 percent of the total time available to a worker throughout their working period.
