Facsimile machine
D. Facsimile (or fax) machines for transmitting text or graphical images over telephone lines. These machines, which are connected to a telephone line, mainly contain a transmitting unit including an image scanning device that reads information from the original document, and a receiving unit including a printing device (sometimes thermal printing). This equipment is suitable both for transmission and for automatic reception of document copies
