1. The Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation (Ministry of Energy of Russia) is a federal executive body responsible for developing and implementing state policy, as well as normative and legal regulation in the field of the fuel and energy complex, including issues related to electric power, oil production, oil refining, gas industry, coal industry, shale industry, peat industry, trunk pipelines for oil, gas and their processing products, renewable energy sources, development of hydrocarbon deposits based on production sharing agreements, as well as functions relating to providing state services and management of state property in the field of production and use of fuel and energy resources.
