Special Depository Account(s)
In the event that the depository provides services related to the receipt of income from securities and other payments due to the owners of securities, the funds of depositors must be kept in a separate bank account (accounts), opened by the depository with a credit institution (special depository account (accounts)). The depository is obliged to keep records of the funds of each depositor held on the special depository account (accounts) and to report to them. No enforcement action may be taken against the funds of depositors held on the special depository account (accounts) in respect of the obligations of the depository. The depository is not entitled to credit its own funds to the special depository account (accounts), except for cases where such funds are paid to the depositor, nor may it use the funds held on the special depository account (accounts) for its own benefit.
