Clearance limits for railway structures
"clearance profile of structures" - the limiting transverse (perpendicular to the track axis) outline, inside which no parts of structures or equipment, as well as materials and spare parts lying near the track, should enter, except for parts of devices intended for direct interaction with rolling stock (contact wires with mounting details, nozzles of hydraulic columns when taking water, etc.), provided that the position of these devices within the clearance profile is coordinated with corresponding parts of rolling stock and that they cannot cause contact with other elements of rolling stock;

Exceptions may be made only for devices intended for direct interaction with rolling stock (working state wagon retarders, contact wires with fastening details, rotating part of the column when drawing water, etc.)
