Reprocessing of Case Register and Archive Documents
Processing of case files and documents - the preparation of a new inventory in place of an old one that does not meet the requirements for the search and accounting of archival documents. Processing of the inventory includes: studying the storage units/accounting units with conducting an appraisal of their value, clarifying their fund affiliation; refining or composing titles of storage units/accounting units; determining or refining their latest dates, resystematizing storage units/accounting units according to a new systematization scheme and preparing the necessary reference apparatus for the inventory. During processing of the inventory, a translation table of old and new archival codes of storage units/accounting units is prepared. Destruction of old inventories after their processing is prohibited. Old inventories are accounted for under new inventories as separate storage units and placed at the end of the new inventory following the last number under their own title with a note "Inventory has been recompiled. See inv. No."
