Transit visa
38. A transit visa is issued to a foreign citizen for the purpose of transiting through the territory of the Russian Federation or for the purpose of evacuating a foreign citizen who has arrived in the Russian Federation in accordance with procedures that do not require obtaining a visa (cruise ship passengers, foreign citizens arriving in the Russian Federation for tourism purposes by ferries authorized to carry passengers, citizens of countries with which the Russian Federation has agreements on visa-free entry, and passengers making a visa-free transit lasting up to 24 hours). A transit visa is issued for a period of up to 10 days
