Stroboscopic effect


The stroboscopic effect is a phenomenon of distortion in visual perception of rotating, moving, or changing objects under flickering light, occurring when the frequency characteristics of object movement coincide with the temporal changes in light flux in lighting installations using gas-discharge light sources powered by alternating current
