Audio Frequency Amplifiers

Audio frequency amplifiers are used to amplify electrical signals with frequencies within the range of human hearing. Transistors or integrated circuits are basic components for most of them, although some are still assembled using thermionic valves. As a rule, they are powered by a power supply unit connected to the mains, or in the case of portable amplifiers — from electric batteries or accumulators.
