Procedural Expenses in a Criminal Case
1. Processual expenses are costs related to the conduct of criminal proceedings, which are compensated from the funds of the federal budget or from the funds of participants in criminal proceedings.
2. The following are considered processual expenses:
1) amounts paid to the victim, witness, their legal representatives, expert, specialist, interpreter, lay witness, as well as to an attorney participating in the criminal case at the request of the investigator, prosecutor or court, for covering costs related to appearing at the place of conducting procedural actions and accommodation (travel expenses, rental of housing, and additional expenses related to living away from the usual place of residence (per diem));

2) amounts paid to employed victims and witnesses with a fixed salary, their legal representatives, and participants in the investigation, to compensate them for lost wages during the time spent attending the investigative authority, investigator, prosecutor, or court;
3) amounts paid to victims and witnesses without a fixed salary, their legal representatives, and participants in the investigation, for the loss of income due to being called away from their regular activities;
4) remuneration paid to experts, translators, and specialists for performing their duties during criminal proceedings, except in cases where these duties are performed as part of their official assignment;
5) amounts paid to an attorney for providing legal assistance when the attorney participates in criminal proceedings at the request of the court;
6) expenses incurred for storing and transporting physical evidence;
7) expenses incurred for conducting judicial expertise in expert institutions;
8) monthly state allowance in the amount of five minimum wages, paid to the accused who has been temporarily removed from office in accordance with paragraph 1 of article 114 of this Code;
9) other expenses incurred during the proceedings in a criminal case and provided for by this Code
