Electric shock
Electric shock is a specific severe neuro-reflex reaction of the body in response to excessive electrical current stimulation.
During shock, immediately after exposure to electric current, the victim experiences a short period of excitation, during which they react sharply to pain, and their blood pressure increases. This is followed by a phase of inhibition and exhaustion of the nervous system, when blood pressure drops sharply, pulse decreases and becomes more frequent, breathing weakens, and depression occurs. The shock state lasts from several tens of minutes up to one day. After that, either death or recovery may occur. The outcome of current exposure on the human body depends on the value and duration of current passing through the body, type and frequency of current, individual characteristics of a person, their psycho-physiological condition, body resistance, voltage, and other factors.
