Video Monitors

Video monitors are devices that convert video signals into two-dimensional images. Video monitors are products specifically designed for use in CTC (high reliability during round-the-clock operation, frequent switching of frames, etc.), therefore replacing them with regular television image receivers is not allowed. In addition, many video monitors are equipped with built-in devices for receiving signals from several cameras - video switchers. Monitors are divided into two classes: black and white monitors and color monitors. The main characteristics of monitors are the screen size along the diagonal and horizontal resolution. In CTC, monitors with a screen size of 9" and 12" are most commonly used. When using image combination devices (quad splitters), monitors with larger screens are usually applied: 15", 17" or 20". The monitor should be selected according to the resolution in such a way that it is higher than that of the cameras used - the monitor should not degrade the overall system resolution. When using cameras with standard resolution in the system, it is advisable to choose a monitor with standard resolution (600 - 800 TV lines for black and white, and 350 - 400 for color). In high-end systems, monitors with a resolution of 900 - 1000 TV lines (black and white) and 450 - 500 TV lines (color) are typically used. When there are several monitors in the system, they are usually placed in special racks
