Geosynthetic materials - a class of construction materials, typically synthetic, as well as made from other raw materials (mineral, glass or basalt fibers, etc.), supplied in folded compact form (rolls, blocks, plates, etc.), intended for creating additional layers (inlays) of various purposes (reinforcing, draining, protective, filtering, waterproofing, thermal insulation) in construction (transport, civil, hydraulic engineering), and including the following groups of materials: geotextile materials, geogrids, geocomposites, geocontainers, geomembranes, geoplates and geo-elements
