Inter-panel core

Inter-panel pillars - a portion of the mineral reserves left along the panel boundary to ensure the stability of overlying rocks above the workings of the mined panel; inter-panel pillars are either fully formed during panel preparation (mine field) by driving ventilation drifts, or staged - during preparation (driving one ventilation drift), and then during extraction (leaving part of the mass from the face side in the form of a solid wall or a row of pillar pillars)
