Informational Support of Maritime Activities of the Russian Federation
Information support for maritime activities primarily involves maintaining and developing global information systems that ensure Russia's maritime operations, including navigational-hydrographic, hydro-meteorological, and other types of support, a unified system of information on the situation in the World Ocean, a unified state system for illuminating surface and underwater situations, created on the basis of forces and means of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service of Russia for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring, and other interested federal executive authorities of the Russian Federation, with the aim of integrating and rationally using systems, complexes, and equipment under different administrative jurisdictions. Information support serves as a basis for decision-making in the field of maritime activities at all levels
