Standard Fuel


Standard fuel - a unit of measurement for organic fuel used to compare the efficiency of various types of fuels and their aggregate accounting. The unit of standard fuel is defined as 1 kg of fuel with a calorific value of 7000 kcal/kg (29.3 MJ/kg). The commonly accepted abbreviation is kg eq. fuel (or t eq. fuel - tonne of standard fuel)
