Hyperthermia of the body

Hyperthermia is understood as an acute pathological condition of the body under high ambient temperatures when heat production exceeds heat dissipation by the body, accompanied by an increase in body temperature and disturbance of the functions of vital systems of the body, especially the central nervous system. In diving practice, hyperthermia may occur when putting on diving gear on an open deck during hot summer days if there is a delay in descending underwater, during prolonged exposure to water with a temperature above 37 °C, during stays in barochambers not equipped with air conditioning systems, as well as due to improper use of water- or electrically heated clothing
