Guard
A guard is a military unit assigned to perform combat tasks related to the protection and defense of battle flags, military and state objects, as well as the protection of servicemen held in custody and in disciplinary military units.
Guards can be garrison (guard at the garrison custody) or internal (shipboard); they may be permanent or temporary.

The garrison guard is assigned to protect and defend objects under central or regional jurisdiction that do not have their own security units, while the guard at the garrison custody is assigned to protect servicemen held in garrison custody.

The internal (shipboard) guard is assigned to protect and defend objects of one military unit (ship) or formation.
Permanent sentry duties are provided for in the sentry schedule. Temporary sentry duties are not included in the sentry schedule; they are assigned by an order of the garrison commander or the unit commander for the protection and defense of military property during its loading (unloading) or temporary storage, during the escort of military cargo transported by various types of transport, temporary stops, depots (warehouses, parking areas) with weapons, military equipment and other military property, field camps, positions, mobile command posts, as well as for the protection of military personnel held in custody.

A guard is a service duty of a military unit assigned for a specified period to perform tasks related to the protection of objects.
A guard is established when there are two or more posts.
