Maximum Permissible Discharge into a Water Body


Maximum allowable discharge into a water body (MAD) - mass of substances or microorganisms in wastewater, maximally permissible for removal at an established regime at this point of the water body per unit of time with the aim of ensuring water quality standards in the control section.

Note. The quantitative criterion for MAD is the permissible concentration (PDK) of substances; MAD is determined in the calculation section without taking into account the assimilating capacity of the water body
