Structural Wells
2.3. Structural wells are drilled in a number of areas for the purpose of identifying and preparing prospective areas for exploratory drilling.
Structural wells are laid out:
- to identify and prepare areas (structures) for exploratory drilling, where solving these tasks with field geophysical methods is difficult or economically unprofitable;
- in complex geological conditions - in conjunction with field geophysical methods to clarify the details of the structure, tracing faults, breaks in sedimentation, etc.;
- in conjunction with field geophysical methods for determining the age of the section, as well as obtaining data on its physical parameters, verifying the position of reference horizons identified based on field geophysical survey data
