Coxielliosis

2.1. Coxiellosis is a zoonotic disease, common to both animals and humans, with the potential to develop into a chronic form. It represents an important medical and social issue due to the widespread distribution of the pathogen in various climatic and geographical zones of Russia, the diversity of transmission routes (airborne-dust, foodborne, contact), and the professional nature of infection among people working in animal husbandry. The main epidemiological and epizootic problems related to coxiellosis are determined by the primary carriers of the pathogen - farm animals.
