National Reference Bureau


National Reference Bureau - an institution whose establishment at the national level is provided for by the 1949 Geneva Conventions, operating in situations of armed conflict and authorized to collect and transmit to the opposing party or other interested parties information, documents, and items relating to persons protected by international humanitarian law who have fallen into the power of the adversary as wounded, sick, prisoners of war, detained persons, and interned persons
