Castor oil
3. Castor oil extracted from the seeds of the castor plant (Ricinus communis). This non-drying, thick, usually colorless or slightly colored oil was originally primarily used in medicine as a laxative, and currently is used in industry as a plasticizer in varnishes or nitrocellulose, in the production of dicarboxylic acids, elastomers or adhesives, surfactants, hydraulic fluids and others.
