Diphosphorus pentoxide


Phosphorus pentoxide (phosphorus(V) oxide, phosphorus pentoxide, phosphoric anhydride) (P2O5) is produced by burning phosphorus extracted from natural phosphates in dry air. It is a white powder with strong corrosive properties, actively absorbs water, and is transported in hermetically sealed packaging. Used for gas drying and in organic synthesis
