Dissociative Disorders


Dissociative disorders manifest as functional disturbances of the sensory or motor departments of the nervous system - paralysis, paresis, pain, blindness, deafness, mutism, hysterical attack (currently mainly pain). These disturbances are not confirmed by the presence of any physical illness, occur in individuals with hysterical personality traits and arise, as a rule, through mechanisms of "conditional benefit"
