Types of Medical Examinations
2. Types of medical examinations include:
1) preventive medical examination conducted in order to detect pathological conditions, diseases and risk factors for their development at an early (timely) stage, non-medical use of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as for forming health status groups and providing recommendations to patients;
2) pre-employment medical examination conducted upon employment or enrollment in education in order to determine the compatibility of the employee's health condition with the work assigned to him, and the student's compliance with educational requirements;
3) periodic medical examination conducted at established intervals for the purpose of dynamic monitoring of the health status of employees and students, timely detection of initial forms of occupational diseases, early signs of the impact of harmful and (or) hazardous production factors in the working environment, labor and educational processes on the health of employees and students, as well as for forming groups at risk of developing occupational diseases, identifying medical contraindications to performing certain types of work or continuing education;
4) pre-shift and pre-trip medical examinations conducted before the start of a working day (shift, trip) in order to detect signs of exposure to harmful and (or) hazardous production factors, conditions and diseases that hinder the performance of labor duties, including alcohol, narcotic or other toxic intoxication and residual effects of such intoxication;
5) post-shift and post-trip medical examinations conducted at the end of the workday (shift, trip) in order to detect signs of the impact of harmful and (or) hazardous production factors of the working environment and labor process on workers' health, acute occupational disease or poisoning, as well as signs of alcohol, narcotic or other toxic intoxication
