Lard-stearin


Lard stearin is a solid white fat remaining after pressing lard or other rendered pork fat. This commodity code includes both edible and non-edible lard stearin. Edible lard stearin is sometimes mixed into soft lard to give it a firmer consistency (commodity code 1517). Non-edible lard stearin is used as a lubricant or as raw material for producing glycerin, olein, or stearin
