Freedom of Testament
1. The testator has the right at his own discretion to bequeath property to any persons, to determine in any manner the shares of heirs in the inheritance, to disqualify one, several or all statutory heirs from inheriting without specifying the reasons for such disqualification, and to include other provisions in the will in cases provided for by this Code. The testator has the right to revoke or amend a previously executed will in accordance with the rules of Article 1130 of this Code.

The freedom of testamentary disposition is limited by the rules on the compulsory share in the inheritance (Article 1149).
