Declarant of Goods


6) declarant - a person who declares goods or on whose behalf the goods are declared;

1. A declarant of goods may be a legal entity with its place of location in the Russian Federation, established in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, an individual who is registered as an individual entrepreneur and permanently resides in the Russian Federation, or an individual who has a permanent residence in the Russian Federation and possesses characteristics provided for by sub-paragraph 1 of article 186 of the Customs Code of the Customs Union.

2. A declarant of goods under the customs procedure of transit may be persons possessing characteristics provided for by sub-paragraph 3 of article 186 of the Customs Code of the Customs Union.

3. When submitting a declaration for goods, a foreign entity is entitled to act as the declarant of the goods only in cases provided for by paragraph 2 of article 186 of the Customs Code of the Customs Union.

4. The rights and obligations of the declarant during customs declaration and performance of other customs operations necessary for placing goods under a customs procedure are established respectively by articles 187 and 188 of the Customs Code of the Customs Union
