Federal Fund for Forest Plant Seeds
2. The Fund is established in order to ensure work on forest restoration and afforestation in the subjects of the Russian Federation where seed production is not carried out or where there are limited opportunities for their collection, with a view to providing assistance to state authorities, local self-government bodies performing activities within the scope of their powers defined by Articles 81 - 84 of the Forest Code of the Russian Federation, aimed at protecting, preserving and reproducing forests, or to persons using forests in accordance with the Forest Code of the Russian Federation who are entrusted with carrying out activities on the protection, preservation and reproduction of forests located on lands owned by the state or municipal property, in cases of natural disasters or other emergency situations, as well as for the conservation of the genetic fund of forest plants.
