Types of Libraries
2. In accordance with the procedures for establishment and forms of ownership, the following main types of libraries are distinguished:
1) state libraries established by state authorities, including:
federal libraries;
libraries of subjects of the Russian Federation;
libraries of ministries and other federal executive bodies;
2) municipal libraries established by local self-government bodies;
3) libraries of the Russian Academy of Sciences, other academies,
scientific research institutes, educational institutions;
4) libraries of enterprises, institutions, and organizations;
5) libraries of public associations;
6) private libraries;
7) libraries established by foreign legal entities, individuals, as well as international organizations in accordance with international agreements of the Russian Federation
