Plant variety


2. A plant variety is a group of plants, which regardless of its protectability is defined by characteristics characterizing this genotype or combination of genotypes, and differs from other groups of plants of the same botanical taxon by one or several characteristics

A variety means a group of plants belonging to a single botanical taxon of the lowest known rank, which is defined by the reproducible expression of its distinguishing and other genetic characteristics
