Takyry
Takyrs are flat areas of land in deserts and semi-deserts, almost devoid of vegetation, flooded by water during springtime. The surface layers of soil within takyrs consist of clayey deposits, predominantly silt. During summer they dry out, harden, and develop polygonal cracks.
