Public Chamber of the Russian Federation
1. The Public Chamber of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as the Public Chamber) ensures interaction between citizens of the Russian Federation, public organizations and federal executive authorities, executive authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation and local self-government bodies in order to take into account the needs and interests of citizens of the Russian Federation, protect the rights and freedoms of citizens of the Russian Federation and the rights of public organizations when forming and implementing state policy, in order to carry out public oversight of the activities of federal executive authorities, executive authorities of the subjects of the Russian Federation and local self-government bodies, as well as in order to support the implementation of state policy in the field of ensuring human rights in places of compulsory detention
