Russian depository receipt
A Russian depositary receipt is a registered emission security without a face value, confirming the right of ownership to a certain number of shares or bonds of a foreign issuer (represented securities), and securing the right of its holder to request from the issuer of Russian depositary receipts the exchange of the Russian depositary receipt for the corresponding number of represented securities and the provision of services related to the exercise by the holder of Russian depositary receipts of rights established by the represented securities. In the case where the issuer of the represented securities undertakes obligations towards holders of Russian depositary receipts, this security also confirms the right of its holder to demand proper performance of these obligations.
