Unique Precious Stones


2) the following may be classified as unique precious stones:

a) diamonds weighing 50 carats or more, except for the "Bort" category;

(as amended by Government Decree of the Russian Federation dated July 19, 2010 No. 535)

b) repealed - Government Decree of the Russian Federation dated July 19, 2010 No. 535;

c) diamonds weighing 20 carats or more;

(subparagraph "c" as amended by Government Decree of the Russian Federation dated July 19, 2010 No. 535)

d) uncut emeralds (crystals, crystals aggregates or crystal growths), first color (dark green), first and second grade, characterized by their crystal form and mineral associations, as well as their fragments measuring 10 millimeters or more, of the first color (dark green), high transparency with internal luster (category "extra");

e) cut emeralds weighing 10 carats or more, unique in terms of color, shape and quality, of the first color (dark green), first and second purity groups;

e) unprocessed rubies, sapphires of intense color tones and alexandrites with a strong alexandrite effect (rough stones, crystals or crystal aggregates) of the first and second grade, which are of interest in terms of crystal form, mineral associations with well-expressed natural crystal forms;

g) faceted rubies weighing 10 carats and more, of a blood-red color type "Burmese", of the first purity group;

h) faceted sapphires weighing 10 carats and more, of a deep blue color type "Kashmir", of the first purity group, as well as rare colors (yellow, green, orange, purple);

i) faceted alexandrites weighing 5 carats and more, with a strong alexandrite effect of the first and second purity groups;

k) pearls weighing more than 5 carats, in white, blue and black colors, possessing good luster with a mother-of-pearl tint, of various shapes: regular, spherical, oval, drop-shaped ("bloom") and irregular ("baroque");

l) precious stones associated with any historical events or well-known persons who played a prominent role in history, science and culture
