Federal Service for the Execution of Punishments (FSIN Russia)


1. The Federal Service for the Execution of Punishments (FSIN Russia) is a federal executive body performing law enforcement functions, control and supervisory functions in the area of execution of criminal punishments with respect to convicts, functions relating to the maintenance, protection, and escort of persons suspected or accused of committing crimes and defendants under custody, as well as functions relating to monitoring the behavior of conditionally convicted individuals and convicts who have been granted a deferment from serving their punishment by court decision, and functions relating to monitoring the presence of persons suspected or accused of committing crimes in places where measures of restraint in the form of house arrest are carried out, and ensuring that they comply with restrictions and (or) limitations imposed by the court.
