Process Innovations
8. Process innovations include the development and implementation of technologically new or significantly improved production methods, including product delivery methods (material and technical supply, goods and services delivery, as well as in auxiliary activities). Innovations of this type may be based on the use of new production equipment, and/or software, new technologies, significant changes in the production process, or a combination thereof. Such innovations are generally aimed at reducing production or product delivery costs per unit of product, improving quality, production efficiency, or delivery of products already existing within the organization, but may also be intended for the production and delivery of technologically new or improved products or services that cannot be produced or delivered using conventional production methods
