Leptin


20. Leptin is a polypeptide hormone produced by adipose tissue and, it is believed, acts on brain receptors in order to regulate body weight and fat deposition. This also includes metrelipitin (INN) - a recombinant methionyl derivative of leptin having similar activity to it and, it is believed, being an analog of leptin
